About Us:

Founded in the fall of 1995 InterKnit Machine Knitting Guild was established for the support, education, and fellowship of machine knitters of all experience and expertise levels, regardless of the make or model of machine used. InterKnit is not affiliated with any knit shop, and is self supporting, thanks to the talents and generosity of its' members.
- Interknit members include:beginners (our most important members!),
- hobby knitters,
- designers,
- authors,
- teachers,
- knit shop owners,and
- interested knitters from all over Northern Illinois.
We meet on the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at the College of DuPage, In Building K, Room 161, West Campus, Glen Ellyn. Located within easy access of I355 and the East-West Tollway (I88) see the map link for directions (to left above).
A typical meeting includes a brief business meeting, an enthusiastic show and tell, a break for food and fellowship, and a program provided by one of InterKnits' own demonstrators or a guest instructor. Meetings include all day seminars, field trips to events or businesses featuring fiber, knits, or related arts, a charity knit-in and an end-of-year party. If you haven't joined already, please do! Joining is easy. First, come to a club meeting, it's free. Click our calendar to see what's coming next. Then, if you'd like to become an official member, annual membership dues are $35.00. Our club year begins in September, but you may join at any time.
