V. Simpson has arranged for us to visit The Yarn Exchange on June 13th.  The store address is 134 East Lincoln Highway (Rte 38), DeKalb, IL. In addition to yarn they carry other needlework supplies. The store hours are Saturday’s 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Interknit plans to arrive at the shop beginning at 10:00 A.M. and members may shop as long as they wish. There are several places nearby available for lunch. The store website is www.TheYarnExchange.com. Carpooling is a good idea as the downtown DeKalb area may be extremely busy on a Saturday morning..

Internet is seeking volunteers to staff the booth and to demonstrate at Fiber Fest Saturday, July 18 th.  In addition individuals (one or two who are willing to bring machines). Machines for demonstration, display items and someone to arrange them are welcome

Interknit anticipates hosting a booth at the Stitches Market September 11-13 (Friday & Saturday 10-6 pm, Sunday 10-4 pm) at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL. Thursday is set-up day and the Market Preview is from 7:00 -10:00 p.m.  This will be a large Guild commitment and we will need numerous volunteers to make it a success.  There will be an “entrance fee” to participate and we need to get our fee sent in ASAP. Our efforts at the first Fiber Fest brought in a several new Guild members. We hope to create additional interest in machine knitting (and perhaps get a few machines out from under the bed) by making our Guild presence known at these events.

There’s No Place Like Home!  K. Troller had informed us arrangements are finalized for Interknit s to meet in The College of DuPage’s Room K161 from August through December of 2009 so we will not be “homeless” during the fall season. Thank you COD!.
